One thing I really look forward to, is travelling in a more personal sense within the next decade; accompanied by someone (be it a my partner, girlfriend, wife, whatever) and filming stuff purely for my own enjoyment. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome to work on a project with a deadline and a goal, but sometimes it’s easy to forget the reasons why you do something. Doing personal projects is a fun way to relief pressure and keep creative. The above video is definitely something along the lines of what I’d like to do. I’ve already actually been shooting single shots of everywhere I’ve been over the last 18 months and plan on putting something together when I feel I’ve got enough stuff. Cinematography’s just cooler when you’re filming beautiful things in a foreign land, be it a landscape or just your girl.
